  • At Malgrat de Mar Park, a small village in Barcelona’s province you can find a nice public park. Despite you need to drive in order to get there, it’s a good opportunity to enjoy in a nice and shiny day.
  • And if we decide to stay in Barcelona city and not to take the car? What can we do on Sunday with children and family which is FREE?
    • Montjuic’s Fountain. Montjuic has a nice fountain with water choreography that offers musical movements of 10 to 14 minutes.
      • From April to October the fountain works from 11.00 to 24.00 hours. Offering spectacular movements of water, light and music from Thursday to Sunday between 21:00 and 24.00 horas, beginning with a frequency of 30 minutes. From November to March the official fountain flows from 11:00 hours to 23:00, whilst the music and lights turn on Fridays and Saturdays from 19:00 to 23:00 pm, every 30 minutes.
    • Horta’s Laberinth Parc. Children’s Park in Barcelona, located close to the Horta Velodrome. Comprising different parc zones with vegetation, banks, paths for strolling … and in the middle of the parc a nice and funny labyrinth.
      • Price: Free Sundays and Wednesdays
      • On Sundays the City Council from Barcelona from 9 am to 15 pm promotes free activities to all publics in order to make a pedestrian city. This parc is included in the acts.
    • Libraries in Barcelona. The pleasure of discovering new books is fascinated and can be done since very little. Thats whay the libraries of Barcelona offer a large and wide sort of activities for kids and parents. They are free activities.
    • Several Museums offer free accesss during Sunday’s. Those are:
      • Museo Nacional de Arte de Cataluña: the entrance is free on Saturdays starting at 15 pm and the first Sunday of each month. The museum also opens its doors freely on the 11th and 24th of setember and 18th of may, the International Museums Day.
      • MUHBA Museo de Historia de Barcelona: the entrance to the museum is free every Sunday starting at 15 pm and the first Sunday of every month it is free the whole day. In addition, there are open doors on the Santa Eulalia’s Day (February 12th), on the 24th of September and on the 18th of May. On the last Tuesday of each month the entrance is also free. Free museum visit is also on the 9th day of February, 23rd of April.
      • Music’s Museum. Free admission the first Sunday of each month (all day), with all Sundays starting at 15 h the free admission time. Also on 12th of February (Santa Eulalia), May 18th (International Museum Day), 21st June (Festival of Music). Also on 24th of September (Merced) and 22nd of November (Santa Cecilia).
      • Museu Frederic Marès. Free admission the first Sunday of the month (all day), and all of the Sundays starting at 15 pm. Open doors also at Santa Eulalia, Corpus and on the 18th and 24th of setembre.
      • Picasso’s Museum. Sundays from 15h to 19h, the first Sunday of each month (all day), 12 February, 18 May and 24 September.
      • Centre for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona. Free admission on Sundays from 15h to 20h, 12 February, 18 May, the Night of museums, and on 24 September.
      • Maritims Museum of Barcelona. The entrance to the museum is free on Sunday starting at 15pm on 18 May and 24 September.
      • Botanical garden. It goes free on Sundays starting at 15h, the first Sunday of the month (free all day), and 12 February, 18 May and 24 September.
      • Blue’s Museum. Free admission all Sundays starting at 15 pm and the first Sunday of each month (all day).
